How do you expect to know where you are going to go if you do not know where your beginning started? Your roots are very important in the world that we live in, but it can be very difficult to keep track of your family. We, the Monks, have been blessed with the gift to record family names along with the histories of their members. Important notes: - Family names must be original, and in character - Spaces ( ) or apostrophes ( ' ) are not allowed - Names may contain letters, and an optional hyphen ( - ) - You must be at least 5 years of Yuri old to start a family - You must be at least 2 years of Yuri old to join a family - Family members that have not asked to be marked over an extended period of time will be purged. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Creating a Family 1. ----- Starting a new family There are two parts to creating a family. You must record your family's history in one story, and then how you fit into that family in another story. You must explain how your family came to be and why you founded it, or why you are the head of that family now. Do not write this as a letter directed to anyone, this is a declaration to the community (and will be accessible to the public). After your story is approved, your family name will be added to the list. There is no way to currently expel a family member forcefully, and you must inform me if your family head shifts. Questions you must answer in your family story are as follows: What is the meaning of your family name? What is the history of your family, and how did it originate? What are your family values? What are your experiences with your family members? Your story must be at least 400 words long 2. ------ Adding yourself to your family Now that you have a family history, you must write your own story of how you fit into it. Use the outline below to guide your writing. Questions you must answer in your story are as follows: How you fit into you family? What is your history with your family? What are your experiences with your family members? What is your location on the family tree? Your story must be at least 400 words long Once your name is located on the list ((located at http://www.bodhisanctum.com under Family List)), then and only then are you able to whisper a guide to be marked. Upon marking, you will: Give the marker a Trigram keyset (1). Post your story on the Chronicles of the Wind board. 3. ------ Addig family members Each family member must write a story about themselves and how they fit into the family. You will send a copy of this to your family head, and they will send it to me. Do not write this as a letter directed to anyone, this is a declaration to the community (and will be accessible to the public). After your story is approved, your name will be added under your family on the list. Once your name is located on the list ((located at http://www.bodhisanctum.com under Family List)), then and only then are you able to whisper a guide to be marked. Questions you must answer in your story are as follows: How you fit into you family? What is your history with your family? What are your experiences with your family members? What is your location on the family tree? Your story must be at least 400 words long Once your name is located on the list then, and only then are you able to whisper a guide to receive your marking. Upon marking, you will: Give the marker three (3) separate Trigram keys. You will post your story on the Chronicles of the Wind board. 4. ------ Leaving a family You must submit a short (two paragraph) short explanation of why you feel you no longer belong with the family you have been a part of to the elder, or the guide of your choice.
