Each person travels a private journey which may eventually lead to Enlightenment. Some find their path brings them to walk way of the Monk. There are many stages in the journey.
First is to gain some understanding of the culture of our circle and the life of a Monk. Explore the writings in these scrolls; read and consider the Monk Vows; speak with those who follow the path.
Second, during this time of exploration look inward as well. Review your life, your personality and your inclinations. Consider what draws you to the Monk circle and what you bring to it. Decide if you are willing to commit to the vows and live a Monkish life.
Finally, let others know that you are a Seeker of the Monk teachings. Begin to live as a Monk lives - in appearance and in action. Attend our discussions and activities.
