The Story of Serapis Osara

So.. You wish to know my story? Very well, let me take you back a few years.

I was born in a village near Shilla named Vurai, in an average family. My father was a Merchant and my mother was what most would call a "home mom". She only lived to take care of me and my dad, and I think we all liked it that way [snickers]. One thing that did differ our village from the others, was that the founding fathers of our village where Do's who had escaped from Shilla. I often saw men in light, white garments, sitting in odd styles along the prairies. I loved watching them, as they seemed so calm, and where always happy. I watched them for years, until one day, when I was 10 years old, I decided to approach one of them that appeared to be finishing.
"Greetings, wise man." I called them wise men as that is what I often heard my father call them, as he said they contributed greatly to documenting our villages history. "Ah, greetings young one!" he replied to me. "Is there something I could help you with?" I became terribly nervous as I was finally speaking to the people I only watched for oh so long. I asked him why he always sat in this exact position for so long, and why he sat that way. The old man appeared to gaze up and space-out for a minute, and then he told me "There is no better place in the world to meditate but here. I can hear the winds and the lands inhabitants at peace, the blades of grass nourish my feet, I am at peace." I replied, "Meditation?" I had no idea what it was, and he seemed sort of happy that I asked. "Meditation is an act us Buddhists do to help us observe where we are in life and help us obtain Enlightment. How do you not know any of this, boy? You're in a Buddhist village!"
I spent what seemed like an hour speaking with this wise old man, and he did not mind a minute of it answering my questions. I now know why those men looked that way, why they dressed that way, why they acted that way? They where Buddhists! Immediately I went to my hut and told my parents that I wished to become a Buddhist and study the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama. They didn't seem as happy as I was, and my expression led them to speak. "In order for you to do that, my son, you'd have to leave us." my father said. "If this is what you really wish to do, you may do so, but please visit us every now and then."
I hadn't realized that I would've had to had moved out of my house to become a Buddhist, so instead of instantly moving, I sticked around for some time. Instead of just normally helping my father with his work, however, I began visiting the monastery in our village and taking lessons from the guru there in Buddhism. I began meditating with the Buddhists on the prairie aswell, and became good friends with them. This was fine for the first two years, as I learned a tremendous amount of knowledge, but I then began doubting if I was holding myself back due to I didn't want to move out of my home.
I brought it up with my Guru. "Guru, I know there is a school in a far away village that can teach me much more than I can learn here, do you think I should go ahead and move?" I told him. "My student, Serapis, I have taught you all I can teach you, if you search for more knowledge, then go, never allow yourself to waste time."
I was now 13 years old, working my way to 14. I went into my hut and announced that I was going to begin my voyage to the nation of Kugnae to further study Buddhism. My mother dropped in tears, but my father assured her it would be ok. The next morning, my father rented me a horse, and I was on my way. The journey was long and tiring, but I often meditated upon stopping, and doing so gave me even more insight.   I traveled for 17 days and 16 nights, and finally, I had reached Kugnae. The land was vast, and there stores and people like I had never seen before. The people where not like the people of Vurai, but I did not pay attention to it. It is there in their north gate I met a monk, I had never heard of a "Monk", but with conversation with him, he explained how it was simply a Buddhist that lives in a monastery. He told me I should contact one of many Gurus to see if I was eligible for training, something I did the second we finished speaking.
I had made it clear that my guide for my quest of knowledge would be ClydeSaradit. He sent me a scroll with a date and meeting place, aswell with directions, on where we could meet. Upon arriving he explained to me that he had an assistant (at the time) by the name of LiShen, that would help me in my path of knowledge. We met at least once a week for about a month when LiShen ascended into the status of a Guru, at which that point she took over from my training.
I trained with LiShen for years, and we continued to have classes whenever we could to talk about Siddhartha Gautama's teachings and his ways. I became good friends with LiShen, and I have the pleasure to say that today, I have made my first step torwards Inner Peace.
You can normally find me in the Mythic Nexus, attempting to hunt a cave, or simply hanging around the various nations. I will say I am a fairly kind person with a well heart, and will always be looking to make friends, incase if you?re looking for some! [smiles]. I hope to be able to serve the community and my path to the best of my abilities, and I hope you had a good time reading this.

                                          With blessings,
