I was born in a small village on the outskirts of Shinjo in Yuri 78. I was raised on a farm, and have known toil and hardship most of my life. My parents were very modest, hardworking people, and I suspect former Monks, for looking back on it now, many of the values they instilled upon me were earily similar to those stressed by my new Family. I I stayed and lived on that farm until only very recently. Hyul 15 is when my true Legend began, and I began to distinguish myself as a follower of the Monk path. In early spring I contacted my Sensei, Ataxia. She was a kindhearted and caring teacher. We met at Wisdom's Ascent for the first time. It was a clear day, hardly a cloud in the sky. As I walked into the Ascent I could see lotus petals floating in the breeze, and I heard the sound of the leaves rustling against eachother. And there, sitting by the Well awaiting my arival, was Sensei Ataxia. We began training right away, and through the moons I began to grow in my understanding of the Monk path. However, in the cruel winter, I received horrible news of my parents' passing back in Shinjo. Ataxia was there to comfort me and guide me through those difficult times. Her best cure for the loss of my family, however, was the gaining of a new one. For shortly after my parents' death, I was granted entrance to the family of the Monks, and have remained here with my new Family ever since. MH |
