Yuri 65 summer: I was born in a little far off town called Korowai where I was brought up by a martial artist called Siethin, he taught me the basics of his martial art but always spoke of a great monk Sinchan that I must go and search for one day when I was ready to leave. So with that in mind I began training hard with Siethin enhancing mind body and soul in anticipation for him to say I was ready to go on my search, years went by and still it seamed he felt I was not ready to leave, so one day I asked him "I have been training under you for many years now and I have proven myself again and again and yet you still do not trust me on this quest of enlightenment why so?" he replied "ahh my son it is not for me to say when your ready I can only give you enough knowledge for you to know when you are". I realized exactly what he meant so I thought I must need more meditation to clear my thoughts and prepare for the journey ahead. So I went to my favorite spot just outside of town under a great old tree and began to meditate with the beautiful sound of the water of a near by river trickling in the background it was very harmonious, I must have been in deep meditation for at least half a week before finally, something just cleared in my head I finally felt ready myself to go on my journey to find Sinchan, so I packed up some things I would need for the trip and said my goodbyes to the townsfolk then my Mentor Siethin came up to me and said "I have no parting gift to farewell you with just remember the knowledge I have given you for that is more valuable then any item, when you find Sinchan say hello from me, and don't forget to scribe to me I hope our paths cross again Karmel but for now farewell" I turned and setout never to look back I had a new path now. After about a weeks traveling I came across a beautiful town called Buya and now I call it my home, I am still on my journey though but for now I wish to gather more insight on myself and the world around me. ~What has happened since then? I got in contact with Sinchan and she then guided me into the path teaching me the ways of the monk and about: Training Mind and body equally Helping others Knowing others Siddhartha Gautama also known as the Buddha The art of combat and using it in self defense only The four noble truths The eightfold path The three jewels The Four Boundless States Three Characteristics of Existence Looking beyond the mirror The Ten Fetters of Existence It was very intense training and I learnt an immense amount during that time, she then accepted me into the path and I continued to learn new and wonderful things and started to work towards my first lotus blossom. Sadly I was taken away back to my home town as I got news that My mentor Siethin was unwell so I spent the last few Yuri's with him hoping to help him get better but sadly he has now left this realm, I'm sure we will meet him again some time soon hopefully in his next life. Hyul 13 Fall: I am now back where my destiny was taking me with this sangha in kugnae and I have refreshed myself with all that Sinchan once taught me and now seek further guidance from Soyeong and she has been of great insight to me thus far and I am now in search for my prayer wheel to aid me in my training ahead and Soyeong has referred me on to you for your guidance with that, so I welcome any insight you can provide.
