I was born in Buya and lived happily in a small family of three. My father was adventurous warrior who liked to sail around the kingdom to visit the beautiful places that could not be found in our town.
However, on a dreadful day, the pirates caught us and took away everything we had on our ship. My brave father tried to stop them and fought with all his might. My mother tried to stop him and reminded him that he would put us all in danger. But my father wouldn't listen to her and kept fighting to his last breath. When one of the pirates shot an arrow directly to his heart, my mother screamed and ran toward him. The pirate shot another arrow at my mother and she fell before she could reach my father. I was shocked and could not move at all. The pirates spotted me and started to approach me. However their leader stopped them and told them to leave me alone. They left the ship and left me with the bodies of loving parents.

I was stranded on the ocean for weeks without food or drink. Everyday I just curled up between their bodies and cried. The rotting smell was not even bothering me anymore. Then one day, I finally saw an island nearby. I decided to burn the ship before I jumped to the sea and swam to the beach. I watched the ship burned and hoped that my parents would forgive me for not to being able to take care of them anymore. On that beach, I vowed to myself never to forget how cruel people could be and never to trust anyone again.

After that day, I continued my journey around the kingdom alone and I was suspicious and ruthless to anyone I met during my adventure. I attacked anyone I met as if to punish them so they could feel my pain. The scars I got from each battle were a reminder to myself of how cruel people could be.

Then one day, I stumbled upon a cave and decided to rest in there. I saw an old monk meditating on the hard cold ground. I called out to him and asked him to leave the cave but he ignored me. Being quick tempered, I attacked him without giving him any warning. But no harm was done. There seemed to be a bright shield surrounding him that protected him from any harm. I kept attacking him with all my might until I was exhausted and finally gave up.

The old monk then opened his eyes and said," Did that ease your rage and pain? Would hurting other people makes yourself feel better? My child, let me help you and tell me why are you acting this way." He then casted a spell on me and all my childhood flashed before my eyes. The happy life I had with my parents, the day my parents was slayed in front me and the cruel laugh of the pirates. I yelled and begged him to stop. He then said," I understand your pain and agony. But it is your karma and you can't avoid it. How can you live a peaceful life if you can't forgive what they had done to your parents? The harder you try to forget them, the ruthless you'll become. But have you achieved anything so far? Forgive them and accept your destiny. Then you'll be able to find your inner peace and live a better life."
