Akidoshi Yorugata, born Yuri 48, is the son of both Kenji and the late Ayame Yorugata, whom perished during his birth. Though born in Koguryo, his ancestry is that of foreign blood. His parents both were escaped pirate captives who took refuge in Koguryo. Unlike his father who served in the Royal Army of Koguryo, Akidoshi was more a lone wolf. He was raised solely by his father, but at the age of six, had almost become completely independent of his father. His father, who made ends meet as a fisherman of the high seas, left Akidoshi in the village for fear of the deadly sea storms or worse, being captured once again by pirates. As an independent child, Akidoshi learned to eat not by begging, but by helping carry goods into the market or cleaning the taverns for small compensation, usually in the form of bread or rice meals. He grew, and seen less of his father. Eventually, Akidoshi Yorugata moved to the kingdom of Buya to start his own history independent of his parents. As a teenager unable to afford his own real estate purchase, Akidoshi joined kinship with the Elendhirin Clan. He learned much in details of bonding with one another for strength. He enjoyed the company of this clan, and although not required, decided to leave seeking a higher form of self-discovery. It was not but a few suns later that he met a man at the Eastern gate of Buya. The man, WeiFei, was a very humbling man who befriended Akidoshi. He taught him many secrets: trapping animals, foraging for food, camouflage from enemies and hunters, and otherwise survival in the world. After many years of training, WeiFei invited Akidoshi into the ranger circle located somewhere between Buya and Koguryo. Akidoshi happily joined this family, where he trained vigorously in the seven ranger skills, working on improving his own character and own self. Reluctantly, as Akidoshi grew into a young man, he once again sought to understand the people of the cities. After years of isolation, the cities had almost become more of an oddity. After many trials, he was welcomed into the ranks of the Phoenix Clan, where he remains a member to this day. He frequents the areas of Buya, the wilderness, and community hosted events. Being that of the Yorugata blood, Akidoshi is often found in the evening to dusk hours. Akidoshi Yorugata, still both a ranger of the wild and citizen of Buya, has spent much time of late trying to track down his father, Kenji Yorugata, Sword of the Dusk. His father, last left for a fishing expedition in the early years of Hyul, had not returned like usually scheduled. His whereabouts are unknown, but some possibilities include shipwrecked on an island, being lost at sea, or worse, again captured by pirates. Akidoshi tends to disappear, sometimes without warning, to search for his father on the seas. Akidoshi has proclaimed that he shall not perish until the mystery of his father's disappearance is solved. -Historian |
