  Valdez-Arigatai Family
"A name is the blueprint of the thing we call character. The name we give to something shapes our attitude to it, what's in it is just about everything we do." "A name is the blueprint of the thing we call character. The name we give to something shapes our attitude to it, what's in it is just about everything we do."

Valdez-Arigatai, literally, is the family name redFLASH and I've been using since the wedding vow was said. It comprises of two family names, hers and mine.

<b>The Valdez
The Valdez derives from my Padre's surname. Padre and Madre came from the land of Spain and met in a journey around the world when they were at their early 20's. They visited so many lands just to find that Buya in Korea, is the place they want to spend the rest of their life in. Upon discovering Buya, Shining Jewel in the East, they feel a very strong desire to start a family together. Living in Buya wasn't as easy as Padre thought. The first four years of Padre and Madre's marriage were harsh. They tried very hard to learn the local language and dialect as well as work to ensure that there's always food at home. Fights in between can't be avoided, and Madre was in great distressed. Everyday she goes to work for Kamishia, the Imperial designer, as her assistant. Upon returning home, she had to deal with house chores and sometimes had to face over-exhausted Padre. But the saddest part is, no matter how Madre wanted a child to fill their home with joy and happiness, God seemed hesitant to give their household one. But as they always said, the sun shines after rains; the fifth year of their marriage was the turning point. Padre started his jewellery shop and their only son was born. They named him, llCerberuSll.

<b>The Arigatai
redFLASH once told me about her family, her Otosan and Okasan, The Arigatai family. Just like me, redFLASH is the only daughter her Otosan and Okasan have. Her Otosan migrated from the land of Samurai in order to find the true meaning of life. You see, my father in law came from a very wealthy family, but he refused to continue his father's shop for the sake of starting from the very basic. He believes that to have striven, to have made the effort, to have been true to certain ideals - this alone is worth the struggle. His fate then brought him to the kingdom of the wind, the homeland of Princess Lasahn, to whom he finally working for until the end of his life. He served the kingdom as Royal Advisor, in where he met my mother in law, a second degree of Princess Lasahn. They claimed that their love is some kind of love at the first sight because it took only a month before they decided that they are ready to start their life together and only a year to have redFLASH.

<b>The Valdez-Arigatai
Precious memories behind the Valdez and Arigatai family are too great to be forgotten. Valdez, derived from a Spanish word, means brave or audacious, just a right word to describe Madre and Padre, who were able to face and deal with danger or fear without flinching. On the other hard, Arigatai means grateful in Japanese as redFLASH's Otosan and Okasan wanted her to show appreciation to every kindness she received. The Valdez-Arigatai believes in the strong bond between the holders of Valdez-Arigatai, to be thruthful to each other and always put family and community first on top of the self.
As redFLASH and I were the only child our families had, we'd love to make The Valdez-Arigatai bigger as we don't have children yet. The ever chatty redFLASH found our Valdez-Arigatai new family members, Neharoo the Shikari, WhiteWarr the Assault and the latest addition is BaliBagoes the Baekho, who she found slowly dying in Tangun.
