"Just as the tides of the ocean have shaped the shores that surround the vast earth, time is an endless element that has changed the history of our people. Yet it seems that with each coming of a wave, a new foundation is set, to the coming of men that will one day, walk amongst the historic layers of the shores. We are nothing but a foundation, for the next."

The Sung'Ngai family has been around since man began to question life~

It all started with the dream of a hopeless man by the name of Keitaro, to make a name of his will, with the little strength life had left him with. Not much is known about where he came from; perhaps his history was forgotten, even to himself - upon coming against such a radiant beauty.

She was elegant, and beautiful, yet by the look in her eyes, he KNEW she was something more, something else. Her eyes were lavender, almond shaped, and rimmed by the darkest of lashes, that matched the hair on her head which flowed vigorously down her back.

Stumbling towards her, like a fool - he called out to her with the weakest power of his voice, but his mind was swept away. What happened? That's exactly what he wondered with the little power of memory he had left, when he awoke surrounded by people like-like her. They were all tall, with those livid eyes that pierced the strongest of men. He attempted to speak, but nothing came out, and it wasn't until five days that he was able to mutter the word "help" or even move from the bed in which he had been placed. His voice- to his surprise flowed out in a tone of voice that he did not recognize as his, but rather as the voice of a man, not a scrap of humanity as it had once been.

And she was at his side in a heartbeat, her hands caressing his face in the gentlest of ways, in a way - that made him forget everything, including his breath. She told him everything, about where he was, why he was there, and why he felt the way he did.

The most shocking thing was that, nothing DID shock him at all; he knew it should have, but he couldn't help but to feel that this was what he had been waiting for all his life.
He was in the temple of Sachi (Blessed), a place where those who had been chosen (or blessed), resided amongst themselves in the deep end of the Midori (Green) Forest - they called themselves, the Mystics. He was in fact, part of a prophecy, part of a plan that would change their ways forever, and that's how she had come to seek him out, but instead he had found her.

The Mystics were healers, very much filled with knowledge of the ages, which in fact, worked in their advantage. They beheld great power through their knowledge, and their insight of the world. It is said that because they developed such strength -both mentally and physically, that their appearance changed.

But the times were changing, as the Great Shift approached, and they knew, alas that their time would come to an end soon. So it was up to this new member of their group to forge a new family with the knowledge he would soon come to know. He was to proceed with the Mystic's values and disciplinary rituals and make room for greatness in the future.

And when all came to an end the beautiful woman, Amaya; that he had learned so much from, gave to him her soul, which he was to keep - forever, passed on in a tiny veil. Its silvery threads would stay secure eternally, as long as the bond was not broken, or disheveled.

And they all faded with the coming of time~
*A page seems torn and faded, its corners are bent and yellowed by time*

It's true, everything! I have traveled and traveled in search of what? I don't know anymore?someone, something?like me, but there is nothing.
I'm just different than everyone, they look into my eyes with wonder of what I am, but I cannot say?

*some of the page is torn out*

I am here now, in a place they call Kugnae, it's much different than the woods but here I stand. I still have it, it's around my neck. I think that if maybe I op?
*a portion is unreadable*

The name will be Sung'Ngai, it was revealed to me in a dream, where I also saw her, she was beautiful, it reminded me of? I can't say the name.
If I meet her, there will be no questioning fate, however, if it turns out to be a game, I'm afraid that I will just have to give up.

*The page ends*

Truth is, Keitaro did find his companion, her name was Ayane, and with her he was finally able to fulfill Amaya's and the Mystics commands, of forging a family bond that would remain unbreakable by the tides of time. They found many others throughout the kingdoms who beheld the strange abilities they all shared.

*Another page, much like the torn one*

Honor and strength, we are much like those who speak of wisdom.

Keitaro has faded onto the shores, but his presence is still among us. I hold with me the power of vision, although its unclear I think with time it will grow.
The vial was given to me, I feel its enormous power weighed on my shoulders, and I'm afraid that at any given moment, it will come crashing down like a torrent of water.
My family's values will stay strong, as its name will speak for itself, Rising Sun.
Everlasting in its cycle to come down, and rise again.
I will seek out more like us, those with the ability to heal, to foresee, to tell, to wonder and create, to fight and defend what is rightfully theirs - life.
But more than anything honor, for without honor there is no virtue.

The rest of the Sung'Ngai family's history was lost. What exactly happened is unknown, and to many who knew of them, it seemed as the family had disappeared, mysteriously forever.

Until, one day a young girl was found by a shaman. The girl was pale, and had very light violet eyes; around her neck was a little vial that contained a floating silvery essence.
The girl's name was Ataxia, and she was the last known of the Sung'Ngai.
She grew up not knowing who she truly was; she only knew she wasn't like anyone else. Until one day, an old man by the name of Pond recognized her eyes, and immediately shared with her the secrets of her past.
