  :Ru-Arnet Family
The family Ru-Arnet started with a tiny, close-knit family on the skirts of Hausson. They started as a blood family of five, wandering towns as a whole to make a living when times were tough, and the seasons grew more harsh. It was in late fall they came across a wonderful woman - a butcher by tradition - who took them in until they gathered provisions to build themselves a home. With the family establishing their culture and surroundings around waterways, from seas to ponds, they effectively built upon a village of their own. From then on, inhabitants from far and wide were welcomed with open arms, and taught the traditions of the village.

The family called themselves the Ru-Arnet, which, in their meaning, meant the "Language of the Red." Of course, it was no odd dialect no one knew about - but the family of this culture spoke with an air of integrity, with an honesty and reflective honor that no one could put a name to. Red became more than a color or a symbol - it was based upon a family relic, called the Jewel of Ihie. Ihie, a founding member of the family, became a legend to the village, who, with his excellent craftsmanship, forged a jewel that he felt reflected his entire family - and this relic passed on from generation to generation. Upon his passing, many told of his legend and the belief that he ascended into the realm of the Gods. Thus, the family had begun to worship and consult their great god Ihie in times of need, their God of Integrity. Even today, the family clothes are stained with red, to show our devotion to our family name and every value embedded within it.

This was only the beginning of what had become of the family's values. From what started as an un-biased view of others grew to a compassion towards society; a clear understanding of the world around them. It almost became their family duty to sit and merely observe the public, ocassionally lending out an ear and conversing with strangers, who soon became friends and allies. An establishment with a sense of equality was added to our family values, and ultimately find the true sense of themselves and their soul-connection with the rest of the kingdoms.

The family crest is pressed into our history, the first letter of each phase title spelling out Ihie: 'o:_
There are exactly four phases from which the crest embelishes. The beginning, ['], is the Intrigue, the "light into life." It is the birth of learning the family's values, immitating them, and applying them to their own life. It is the beginning formation of taking a general interest in others.
Next comes Honor, [o], the wheel of intertwining family cultures with those of other Kingdoms, those unfamiliar with the family as a whole. One begins to step out from their comfort zones and open their minds to the world, all the while maintaining the unity of their developing values, and what they mean to them.

The third phase is Initiative, [:], the farther climb of understanding a culture-bound society, standing upon the firm base of Ihie's watch. To take the initiative is to apply other values into the strong family ones, and develop a new light in the mind, to enhance thinking, and to evaluate one's self more thoroughly.

The last, and hardest phase to achieve is called Equality, [_], and the ones branded for their achievement are known as the "Stat-Equalit." As the family has learn to base themselves around the Pond Trigram, it is also the ceremony of "The Cleanse," dipping one's whole self into the village pond and re-emerging with a newer, fresher inner spirit.
