She ran through the woods looking frantically behind her in hopes that no one was following her. She could feel their eyes, and hear their whispers, yet she continued to run. The pain rippled through her body but she knew to slow down would mean instant death to her and what she carried.

A bolt of lightning rippled through the sky, followed by a tremendous clap of thunder that literally vibrated throughout the wilderness, and on she ran. Deeper and deeper into the wilderness until she could stand the pain no more, then down she sank, into the leaves crying as the pain overcame all thoughts that she once had. The time had finally arrived, she had been waiting for it for so long. Yet now was not ready nor prepared for what was about to happen. He was after her and she had to get far away.

The child she carried was to be born free. Free from bonds free from worries, and free from evil. Yet she could wait no longer for the time was upon her now.

Bearing down, all alone, she cried out. The forest seemed to be listening, then closing around her like protecting arms, protecting her and her unborn child from all the evil of the world. Overhead the storm raged on - covering her screams, just as the trees covered her from the elements. Finally, a quietness overcame the small clearing, yet a sense of wonder seemed to glow from the center. The woman looked down, not at a child, but at two. Twins, one boy, one girl.

The woman knew to keep them to herself, would mean their doom. She knew that something had to be done, and done quickly. Looking around she noticed she was not alone in the forest. Her once - long time ago friends were there, and would once again step forward to help her as they had in the past.

She called to the Tiger and handed him the son. "Take care of him" she asked. "For he is meant for greatness."

Then she called to the Bear and passed him the daughter. "Hold this one close dear friend" she said, "for even though she is tiny, she is headstrong and needs careful watching".

Both of these children are special in their own way, they are small - therefore require a small title. The woman looked at the Tiger and the Bear and said, "My name is Deepika. It means little light. These children are my light and therefore shall take my name. They are as one and shall carry the same name. I name the girl child dee, an the boy dee."

"Take these children and raise them, show them right from wrong and show them the path upon which they should walk." the woman then proceeded to lay down upon the leaves in exhaustion and close her eyes, never to awaken again.

The Bear looked at the Tiger and said, "I shall take dee to a place that will show her care and love." The Tiger said, "Andee shall have a home of his own as well. One that will be full of hope, honor and knowledge."

Off the two forest creatures went, in two separate directions, with dee andee to never cross paths again... until many Yuri's later.

The Bear wondered aimlessly through the forrest unsure really where to take the child. He could take her to his home, yet she was so small he was unsure if she could withstand the journey. He knew the promise he given the Druid Deepika, was a strong one, one that must be carried out, yet he was unsure how he would be able to go about it.

Finally, after a day of wondering, he found an elderly Mage in the forest. He walked up to her and presented the child. The Mage was shocked indeed at the sight of the huge bear carrying the small infant, but instead of running, she showed great courage and reached out and took the infant unto herself. As she turned to take the infant away, she heard these words from the bear, "Her name is dee, she is strong and fierce like the bear, yet gentle and soothing like the doe. The Key to Wind describes her well, keep this key alongside her to help guide her way."

The mage took the infant, and the key and entered into her hut. As she cleaned, then fed the baby she looked at her closely and said, "You shall be a teacher, this I can see. One of great strength, yet will have a mind of your own - and will roam solo among the home of many friends and family. The Hyun-Moo speaks for you and runs strong in your blood." "Remember child, your destiny is of your own choosing, and your path is for you to choose and forge alone. Here is a quartz to add to your key and totem, to help keep your spirit clear and safe from harm."

Dee lived with the Mage in her home, a home called Heavens. It was there in this home that dee felt the calling of a new form of family. One that called her heart and soul. One that gave her a sense of peace and knowledge in so many ways that she knew this was where she belonged. During this time, she continued to live with the Mage in Heavens yet, left on a frequent basis to gain knowledge and wisdom from the home of the Monks. Yuri after Yuri went by, and dee grew into a very happy and satisfied young woman

One day, while walking in the Wilderness, dee happened upon a young Chung Ryong warrior named Aktril. He was making tools from wood and she stayed behind to help. After many days of working at great strides to gain skill... Aktril and dee fell in love and were married. There was no happier couple, until one day, Aktril fell upon a dark wizard and disappeared from the lands. Dee was heartbroken. For the first time in many Yuri's she felt unsettled in her home. Felt that in many ways she did not belong there, that something was missing. She clasped the Mage who had been as a mother to her and told her she loved her and appreciated all she had been taught. But it was time for her to journey, to find what was missing from her life. Dee then turned and wished all her family members whom had been apart of her life for so many Yuri's goodbye and wished them well... She left the Halls of Heaven's, never to return again. Once again her heart sunk back into the Monk path. Drawing strength on the teachings and helping others within the path as much as she could.

While living within the Monk circle, dee continued her search. After a week of searching she came upon a doorway, eyeing the claw marks upon the frame, she felt stirrings within her. Something was very familiar about these marks.. she knocked... and heard a scuffling. Not willing to show fear, she stood her ground and awaited whatever was to come to the door.

The door swung open to show a young warrior. He was very much like her beloved Aktril yet was not. His name was Cbuzz and he smiled at her with a big grin and said, "We have been waiting for you, its about time you showed up!"

In walked dee... with a confused look upon he face, until she took one look inside the home of this warrior and saw.... The Bear, then she knew what she had been missing from her life, she was now home again. Cbuzz spoke with her to Primo Leafe, and Leafe directed her to her newly installed Primogen Sloan. Together they all worked to welcome dee home, where she belonged. To dee's delight, her childhood friend Tabitharose soon followed, so she was beginning to feel as if her life was complete.

It was around this time time dee's studies with the Monks intensified, and in fact she begain to teach as often as she could. Feeling very satisfied with life, and with the way things were, she once again married, this time to a Chongun named SilentS. The young warrior gave dee great strength and wisdom, and more support than one could imagine. SilentS together with Tabitharose were as a shield of protection and courage for the young poet.

After 3 Yuri's, the wandering started aching in dee's bones again. This time was different. One more journey was to be in her future. A journey that she must take alone. To take this journey dee would have to leave the one constant that had been in her life since she was a wee child... The Monk path. In order to gain knowledge, she was going to have to leave the source of her knowledge. Speaking with Tabitharose, SilentS, and with her Elder Sinchan, it was decided dee would leave and go on yet another journey of life. One to determine her path, set her course and help give her knowledge to live her life as she should. Then dee did the unspeakable. She left the Monk path.

The Druid blood within her called out, and to the wilderness she went. She sought out the creatures of the forest, as though she had never left with the Bear the day she was born. As she walked she came across a Bekyun's spear - a weapon of strength, yet humble and true. "This is the weapon" she thought "that symbolizes my life - as its a staff of honor to me." So she picked up the staff and carried it with her.

On the path she went, still in search of answers, in search of the wisdom that would help her to determine her place in life. This is when she came across a small pile of items. Within this pile she found a tiger pelt, an angel tear and a single Yuri's love. These items were indeed strange to her and she was unsure what they were to mean. This is when an old weary tiger came along, and told her the story of her birth, and about her brother... Andee. "The tiger pelt" he stated, "was left to show you the way to your brother, the tear to remind you of the tears shed when you left your home, and the Yuri's love to show you of the love you left behind."

A feeling of deep remorse came across her as she continued down the path. Wiping the tears from her eyes, she still felt the need to continue on the journey. "An answer is all I wish to have, what is the direction of my path in life?" she cried out.

The day began to draw to a close, and a weariness settled upon her, so she settled down against a tree. Sleep came slowly, yet deeply until she slept a very deep sleep that lasted for 2 days straight. When she awoke, there laying beside her were two items. Her wind armor of old and a single blossom... a Life Blossom. Her eyes grew large as she looked at the items. She knew what the Armor meant, it was her symbol of home, entitled love, it meant it was time for her to go home, and the blossom, the symbol of life. Given by the Monks for those of the Kingdom, to offer hope and to be used as a life force when times were bad. Together the two showed her it was time to go home, home to her Monk path and her Bear home. The two things that make her who she is and what she wants to be. For without the two, she is alone, and alone she is not at peace.

The simplest things remind me of who I am, and what I am. Yet nothing helps to show the direction to proceed in. This is my destiny - to choose on my own. To forge my own path bit by bit, day by day. Each of these items plays a role in my life, it may be small yet even small moments add up to bring the big picture together.

When I found the cave of the Bears in Kugnae, I knew I had found my home. My life starting with my mother giving me to the totem of a bear, therefore I knew this was to be the home of my heart. There was only one name for me and that is Kuma which of course means Bear. Always will I be in search of those that bear witness to the power of the Bear. The moto of the Bear clan runs strong within me, Honor, Strength, and Loyalty. There is one that will always be apart of me, even though we do not cross paths very often and that is WarPrincess. She is my adopted mother, the one that took over my care when the Bear felt it was time. One day perhaps my family will grow.
