  Huang Family
Long times ago, The Huangs and Zhaos have the same forefather, Shao Hao. Shao Hao's mother was Huang E. Huang loved to travel by boat in the daytime and knit at night.

One day, Huang met a handsome man called son of Bei Di. They fell in love and got married. After one year, they gave birth to Shao hao. Shao hao moved from Henan to Shanxi in the age of Emperor Zhuanxu. Shao hao built his kingdom at Qian Yang and made Qiu Fu his capital. He was buried at Yun Yang.
After a few generations, Ben Tao become the head of the justice department. In the age of Emperor Shun, Ben's son Bo Yi, a leader of Dongyi tribe was bestrowed a surname of Ying for his achievement in helping Shun to control the flood and tame the animals. Bo Yi married Yu Shun's youngest daughter and gave birth to Da Lian. Xia Yu awared the Huang kingdom to Da Lian. And his descendents are known as the Huangs.

The Huangs were discriminated upon, during the Xia Dynasty and were called The Huang Yi (Barbarians). The situation was improved in the Zhou Dynasty when Yi Yin of the Huang Kingdom becomes the prime minister of Shang Tang.

The Huang kingdom was recognized by the Zhou Dynasty, but was eliminated by Chu. In the Spring and Autumn period, no kingdom dared to resist Kingdom Chu, a strong state, except for Kingdom Huang and Kingdom Sui. King of Chu blamed Kingdom Huang for not paying the tribute.

King of Huang, sizing up the situation wrongly, lost his nation in that summer by neither paying the tribute nor preparing for war. People of Kingdom Huang took the name of their kingdom as their surname, calling themselves Huang and the descendents began to bear the Last name of Huang. (Huang means Yellow in Chinese). The value of Huang Family is Honestly, Trustworthy, Seeker of Knowledge, Have a Great interest of Combat Skill.
