  Endsong Family
The Endsong family is an old Nangen family, one of the lesser noble houses of the Kingdom of the Dead. While only a baronial line, it is one of the oldest families in all of Nagnang that still survives to this day, though only barely.
Tragedy befell our family when our youngest brother was just a newlyborn. My father's jealous brother was angry at how successful and well-received my father was. My uncle was not naturally gifted with charisma or physical prowess, like my father, but had a very vicious mind. After all the years of being my father's failure of a brother, he lashed out in fury, killing my father and mother and setting our estate ablaze, a fire which surely would have killed me and all my brothers and sisters had I not witnessed my uncle starting the fire himself.

I scrambled to get everyone out. I ran from room to room waking all of my kin and alerting them to our dangerous situation. After grabbing our baby brother from his crib, we dashed out of a servant entrance in the kitchen. We hid in the woods nearby as we watched him stand just outside our front door and laugh maniacally as our estate fell to the ground in a burning heap of char and ruin.

Yuris have past since then and not a single day goes by that I haven't thought about revenge. My most powerful dream is one where I combat my uncle, man-to-man, and strike him down and stand over him while he slowly passes away. I have that dream nearly once a week. But that curse found out that we, the Endsong children, escaped death and he knew full well I'd come for him. His cowardice has kept him well-hidden over the Yuris and my only satisfaction has been knowing that he knows we all live on and are prospering in our own ways and that there's nothing he can do about it now. Fortune smiled upon me though when I was informed recently that my uncle is dying of a lung ailment that one can only assume was karma's fair justice striking him down.

I am the eldest of the twelve children my father and mother brought into this world. Since their deaths, it has been my responsibility to raise all of my younger siblings and keep the family's rebuilt estate and our family name in tact. I had just turned 19 when I was thrown into the positions of Head of House and the new Baron Endsong. It has been a tough and testing time but one that has strengthened me and my siblings.

Most of my kin have branched out on their own. Only my eldest sister, Ralli, and I still remain in Nagnang. All the rest decided they wanted to move on and forget. But her and I cannot. We saw him, standing there, watching it burn down, thinking he had destroyed us all. And so we live on here to remind everyone who knows the history of his malice that the Endsong family will not burn away in the dark of night.
