  Mnementh
My name is Mnementh, I am a Norse warrior from Ekido I have always loved my birthplace but when the new king was sworn in, who had always borne hatred to my family, and I learnt of his plans to assassinate us I was forced to depart my homeland in all haste. I saddled up my horse, packed a few belongings and food (which I hoped would last me until I found a new place to settle) and rode into the night.

Days past by quickly, I would ride all day and make use of the daylight hours, but once it got dark and my horse could no longer find a safe path I would make my camp, I shared the food and water I carried with my horse, for she did all the work, but soon my situation was dire, there was barely enough for me and when my horse started weakening and the nights grew longer and colder, and my need for warm clothing and food outweighed my need to travel as fast as I could away from my homeland, I killed her and made use of her coat and meat so that I could survive longer. This was her final gift to me and I will always remember how she saved my life.

I struggled still, and people who I would meet thought I was a devil, (clad as I was in my horse skin and my long blonde hair which was so alien this far south) and would run from me before I could even hail my greetings. Too soon again, I became desperate, however this time alone. My footfalls, which were once strong and with purpose, became weary and even these smoothest paths became a nightmare. I knew I was dying then.

As the night drew around that which I knew would be my final day, I imagined I saw strange creatures materialise from the woods around me, they offered me kind words as I continued on my journey, and I felt their presence watching me until I fell to my knees, unable to continue. Before my eyes closed I remember staring into a face so wrapped in kindness, love and pity that I could not help but draw hope from it. It was the face of Inzan, a man who I would learn to respect and love, as much as I respected and loved my own father.

I awoke days later, feeling stronger and healthier than I could remember. Sat around me, anxiety etched on their faces was the people I would soon called my new family. Inzan, of course as head, was sat closest to me and a drew a breathe of relief when I saw his face, because I knew I would be okay. The others there were his children, Mintaka, a beautiful elf who will haunt my dreams to this day, and her brother MysticHaze a noble young child.

As soon as I was well, I helped protect the woods in which my new family lived, I would the woods each day, helping the inhabitants within or keeping the undesirables out. Inzan came to me one day with an offer, he and Mintaka would be leaving to explore the kingdoms further south, and he wished me to join them. Although I loved them dearly I could not yet leave because I had found a new home after too long searching. He bestowed instead the task of looking after MysticHaze who would be left behind.

I still do not remember much of the battle which was fought, and in which MysticHaze was lost to me, I was sorely injured but the woods remained safe. As soon as I was well, I knew I would have to impart this news to Inzan and Mintaka and followed them to Buya. The grief which bound us was infiltrated in a hatred and grief I felt for myself and I could not settle with them, though they asked me. I instead turned to the city of Nagnang where I found my home within the walls of Kurimja.

We still kept in touch, and when a fast messenger arrived at my door bearing the news of MysticHaze's return I hastened to Buya to celebrate with them. It was then that they offered me a chance that I have always hoped. To be united with them under the family name of Elvenwood.
