Myself, and my sisters included, have inherited the name by blood for several generations. The first Chiyoko, dated back from Ilbon. One of my ancestors, Gi-Kyan Chiyoko, came to hausson when he was a young man. He was one of many Ilbonese travellers looking to sail the seas to find a new and more settled place to reside. Tired of the lack of trade and ever present crime in Ilbon, he packed what he had and paid his fair on the boat that was set to travel for days. Rumours of Hausson had already spread across the decks, tales of a un-known island that many had passed up simply for her size. For these travellers, she would be a mighty fine island! Upon arrival, a Young King had already discovered the island and had claimed it in the name of Koguryo, naming it Hausson. Frightened, and dismayed, the travellers began to set to travel the waters once again. However the King, young hearted and with a gentle and kind persona, welcomed the travellers with open arms. He conditioned that they were to gather their own resources to build the town, and to learn the language of the land. It was here that Gi-Kyan, whilst learning to speak Koguryan, met, befriended and fell in love with his future wife Li Krichono. Gi-Kyan and Li married after some months courting, and Li agreed to move to Hausson so they could start a family. Li made many tapestries in her life time for Gi-Kyan to sell. In time, Li gave birth to three children. Their eldest, a daughter, and two sons. Generations passed, several children born into the bloodline of the Chiyoko family. Over a Hundred years after Gi-Kyan had set foot on Hausson, My Grandmother gave birth to her son, my father, Ry-Shi Chiyoko! My father was a very extravagant man as I knew him. He was passionate in the hobbies and work that he did. He tended to all chores that a man of a Hausson household was intended to do. He fought to defend the island on several occasions, the last time he did so was infact the day he perished. One day of the summer, the Hausson village had a trade fayre held on the island. Many visited to the fayre, enjoying the quiet scenary and pleasant wares for sale. On this day, a Buyan born young woman visited Hausson. Her name was Sori. They did not embrace into friendship easily, but over time, and several visits between the kingdoms, Ry-Shi and Sori sought through their kingdom differences, and a loving relationship evolved. My Mother married into the Chiyoko name and took her place amongst the women of Hausson. My Mother brought with her wide knowledge of  weaving stitches and recipes of Buya. At this time many two or three families lived under one roof. Although conditions remained cramped, it was the skill of the older women that helped my Mother bring her first child, a daughter, into the world. Me! I remained the only child, keeping company with children of my own age from other families. It wasn't until I was 8 years old that my sister, Sophora was born. In the year of my 11th birthday, my second sister Monette was born, and finally, when I was 15, Anishka was brought into the world. It was the first time there had only been girls. I am unsure if my parents intended on anymore children, due their untimely deaths, we may never know. The name is so important, that despite whether all four of us marry, and have children, that we are Chiyoko children, by blood, and we are proud. So that is how I became a Chiyoko. I was simply born! ~Ambigua
