The Canotra and Nukoric families were two families from Hausson.
Even though we were two separate families, we lived in harmony, got along well, and tried to help people whenever we could. We did everything together, gather firewood for the winters, harvest our crops together, even ate with each others family on occasion, it seemed near impossible to tear our families apart.

I was a member of the Nukoric family. My brother, RCMP, was younger than me, but only by a few seasons, so we saw each other as equals. But, one day, we would be nearly separated as war struck our Hausson life... invaders from far away had come to our humble town. Like anyone else in our situation, we grabbed some equipment, and prepared for a full scale battle. Joined by the honorable members of the Canotra family, we went to battle.
Sadly, the opposing force was much to great and we were forced to retreat. Many of us fled our fair Hausson and went into the nearby woods to hide in fear.

Our families had been torn apart at the seams, now the mighty Canotra and Nukoric families stood divided and unsure where our loved ones were. I was alone in the woods, struck with fear and in my heart, knew that the worst had to have been bestowed on the rest of my family and friends... but one thing concerned me the most; where was the brother I held so dear, RCMP? More scared for the life of my brother, I ran through the woods searching endlessly for him and much to my dismay, no luck. Days had gone by and I had to fend for myself looking for things among the land like berries and such to survive.

A few days after the destruction that had come over Hausson, a ray of hope had come to me, for I found that I was not alone in this world any longer. As I had thought I alone was the soul surviving member of our families, I discovered my brother. He had not been alone though, for he had found a member from the Canotra family, magickbliss, and was traveling with her. Reunited, we had a new hope for the future, and vowed to stick together and pick up our shattered remains, but where to start? We figured we needed to find a new home of some sort, so we set off to look.

Just over the horizon, we saw a mighty tree. Something about this tree beckoned us closer... what could this mean? As we drew closer to this tree, we noticed a mighty gateway before us. We had found our way into Koguryo and were facing the northern gateway. We crossed this gate and walked up to this tree. It seemed so much brighter... so much livelier then the ones around it. We knew this was where we would make our new home and start our lives anew.

One problem remained, what do we call ourselves? We were no longer the Canotra or Nukoric families in body, but would always remain in spirit. My brother and I had wished to keep the Nukoric family name in full, but we soon realized how this would affect the dear magickbliss, being a Canotra. RCMP thought up a great idea and decided we would be called the "Can-Nuk's." This name, in full, would mean the Canotra and Nukoric's, not as two separate families, but as a whole. On this mighty tree, we carved our new family name in and hence forth were known as the Can-Nuk's.
