Sitting near my dear sister, I dipped my brush into
the small bottle of ink and began to place my thoughts
into the calligraphic characters that quickly begin to
cover the paper - working from the east to west and
from the north to south. The crisp winds bit at my face,
and the sun washed everything with its light.

This is my story.

In all honesty, I had lost hope long ago of finding
the identity of my birth parents - for the Gods had
never answered my prayers, and the Spirits had not
shown me in my many hours of vigilant meditation.

But my adoptive parents, who have since departed from
these lands taught me much...and graced me with the
love that I had not known until that time and kept
it with me all through my childhood and til their end.

I was raised under a Geomancer mother, and a Diviner
father. It was surprising, to bring a child who had
such a spiritual outlook on life being a Shaman into
their home...all aspects of the path of mystery
combined under one roof, it seems! Together, we honored
the Gods and Spirits and spoke of many things - but
even though we all walked different paths there were
many things we began to share; and that forged who
I am today.

They taught me so much, and early on I had a grand
thirst for knowledge. As we travelled, I would continue
to run towards the libraries of the villages and soothe
my hungering mind even if only a little time was allowed
before we had to move on. We wanted to see the lands,
but we soon began to miss our home city...Buya.

Through the Paekjae region, we met with my current
sister - JerzeyKat, and our family began to grow.

We grew up together, staring heaven-ward and not knowing
our limits - we strived to become upstanding citizens
and enrich ourselves in whatever way possible. We
sought culture, and in time - a way to bring honor to
the family that had slowly dwindled to just the two of
us when our adoptive parents left the lands.

Beotkkot, the cherry blossom. For we may not share
the bindings of blood, but we will always share a
similar spirit; a yearning for the same truths and
virtues. It is in this way that Beotkkot will grow,
under my hand and one day in our descendants, and
forever paying homage to the ancestors that came before
us.

Forever, will we word towards bringing honor to the
Beotkkot family name! From humble beginnings, into
a humble future - but branching out into the winds and
eventually dancing amongst the clouds and the Gods,
I will lead this family for now with great pride.

`a smear of pink is placed upon the bottom of the
parchment, creating the form of a cherry blossom
petal.
