I remember the first time Sebelle and I had met. I was a glassy eyed, youngster who had just been shown his new home. As a family the Geomancers were small and close knit. Quiet as I was, hardly anyone noticed me, but I took note of everyone around me. Hardly anyone spoke to me. So I would stand quietly to one side and study. Sebelle was already a Geomancer of note, and I was so nervous around anyone who I thought was important. Eventually as I gained courage though, he left our circle to wander other lands - rumor had it the Spirits had touched him. There I remained studying with Leodaris.
I spent many yuris turn sitting under the Tree of Reflections with my teacher Leodaris discussing many topics of Taoism and the mimicked mechanics through nature. We watched as the beotkkot fluttered through the air. Some fell around us, but others yet fell into the nearby stream to be carried off to places unknown to it. Like a shower, blossoms would fall during the blooming season.
It was here under the same tree, that I met my wife JerzeyKat. As I was quiet and kept to myself we would see each other but not speak. One day in summer, I found her sitting under the tree in the very spot I was accustomed to sitting at. Embarassed and uncomfortable I sat down nearby.
"Why do you come here and sit so quietly all the time?" She asked me after a few minutes.
"I don't know, its just peaceful I guess. Leo comes here often and I like to talk with her" I said hesitantly.
"I do too." She replied and fell silent.
And so the summer passed, talking quietly with each other. We spoke of our problems and our hopes. Our desires for the future. I found her to be a quick witted, beautiful woman. I was so stunned by her that one day, I confessed my love to her. As akward silence progressed I apologized assuring her that I would be more normal the next day. To my amazement she said she wouldn't stand for me to change back. I purposed to her shortly after, under the Tree of Reflections as its leaves were turning brilliant shades of red and orange.
Winter came, and we planned our wedding. Unfortunately that was short lived as the forces from the Wind Gods began to attack. We were forced to forgo the large planning and desired nothing more than to be joined. So as the trees bloomed, shortly before the solar year ends we said our vows. In the presence of Leodaris, we were showered with the beotkkot joining me to this family.
