The Noble House of Bali-tang The core of any family should be the strongest emotion known to man, love. Such an emotion is rarely regarded as a virtue, but we have all felt it's' sting and its' warm embrace. Families can be made in many ways. The circle of the subpaths is families, the kindred's of clans. Even the army itself is a family, built from scratch. The Bali-tang family has always known about love and building from scratch. The first Bali-tangs, and founder of our House, were actually from the island of Ilbon. Marcus Bali-tang and Arian Jesenko, who later weds Marcus and changes her name to Bali-tang, escaped from the island and pirate slavery to build a life for themselves here in our town of Buya. Marcus and Arian both set sail from their island home late at night in a rickety small boat. They could not bring much, for they needed to rely on speed of their vessel, for if they were discovered, they would've been surely put to death. They brought ration of foods and small trinkets, to them grand treasure, to accompany them along the route to Hausson. When they arrived, they took refuge in the nearest tavern and followed directions from a man named Kafas to buya. Once arrived, they quickly became accustomed to the busy life of Buyans. Marcus became a Merchant and started building a small fortune with his knowledge of fine wares, a skill he had mastered while living in Ilbon. Arian used her time to devote herself to the craft of the poet and learned to heal. Together, over time, they built a family and a home. They had three boys, Baltzen, Gnoff, and Triage who continued building their family. With time the family grew into a sizeable house, and members of their house were even noted by the Imperial Empire of Buya and her Princess! The family Bali-tang now mostly resides in the clan of Lost Kingdom. One of the three brothers, Gnoff heads it and most of the council that leads it is of Bali-tang. Even though rising to such great power and prestige, we have never forgotten the very difficult task and sacrifices that our kin who lived before us made. Marcus and Arian have long since passed from this physical world, but their spirit lives on with Bali-tang I have posted the Family history of Bali-tang on COTW post # 1675. ============================================ A long time ago before the passing of my father and mother, they would tell my brothers and I bedtime stories of our family name. I remember many of those stories today and could fill many pages with there tales, however I will just summarize the moral of each story for you. Each story always began with a family member, be it a great Uncle or distant cousin who was faced with many troubles, only to conquer them with the aid of another Bali-tang, for Bali-tang as my parents told me meant... 'Forever Kindred' ======================= My experiences with the Bali-tang family has filled me with much wisdom and understanding as well as compassion. It's because of the kindred in LK many of whom are Bali-tangs that I was able to rise in the clan and serve them as their primogen. Each member of Bali-tang I can call friend and family.
