  Moraghul
  Akatsuki Family.

The existence of the Akatsuki Family has always been a legend, a myth. To many agents, working directly or not for the Koguryo Spy Guild, the tales of this family were a good topic to discuss about, telling about exploits and other mysterious cases never resolved by the local community.

When something odd was found, like a person being dead without either any apparent reason of being killed, or the most little clue to find the assassin, you could be sure it quickly became a new exploit from the Family. However, even if they would gladly help to spread the rumour, most of the people weren't really thinking seriously about the possible existence of this Family.

I, Moraghul, became affiliated to the KSG because of the huge possibilities it was offering to practice my skills and find wealth and tranquillity. People would know who you were, even if the belonging of any agent to the KSG was anything but official, best of them were famous and respected among the community.

With time, as I was completing more and more jobs, making people ready to pay good loads of money to afford my services, I eventually became a modest yet respected agent of the KSG. My connections went stronger with the other agents, allowing me to take part in dangerous yet exciting and well paid jobs. Some of the Agents I used to work with were also pretty well known within the Guild, and I can't deny they were doing an excellent job.

One night, as I was standing in a tavern, opening my ears to hear anything that could be said and that'd potentially be valuable information for one of the jobs I was working on at the moment, some dark guy, shadowed in a black cloak, came to me. He did neither stare at me, nor showed anything special, so I got back to my usual activities. However, after approximately five minutes, I clearly heard him as he spoke out loud, without looking at me for even an instant.

-Hello, Moraghul, he said.

He knew my name. Big deal he wasn't the only one to know it. Although, there was something in his manners and in his look that encouraged me to pay more attention to him, even if I couldn't tell what it was at the moment.

-I am standing on your side because I was given as a job to forward you this message. My bosses want to meet you, Moraghul, and they sent me to seek you and be sure you will accept to follow me to their place.
-Who are they? I asked.
-I am not allowed to give you this information.

I walked a bit to stand closer to him, and whispered, holding my dagger on his back.

-What if I decide to kill you? Would it make your lips move ? Because be sure that if I have no choice
-You do not understand, Moraghul. Whether you kill me or not, if I tell you who sends me, I will die in no time. So please, follow me now, or I won't get paid.
I wondered about what he said, and decided to give it a shot, as I didn't like mysteries and wanted to know what was going on under all this.

-Fine, I said, pulling back my dagger to my belt. I will follow you.

We then walked. In they dark alleys of Kugnae, I followed him. No one was saying a word, and that is in this religious silence that I eventually got lead to small house. My "contact" pulled a key from his belt and unlocked the door, then opened it. He told me to follow him inside, so I did.

He relocked the door and headed to some rock stairs in the corner of the room. The stairs were going down, and we got down for about 20 feet, before finding a new locked door downstairs. He then knocked the door certainly with a secret code, and about fifteen seconds later, we heard the door being unlocked and opened. We got in the room.

A few persons were here Maybe a dozen, at most. They were all sit around a half-circle table, facing me and my contact. In this assembly was sitting Saylemk, one of the KSG Agents I used to work with. One of them began to speak.

-Hello Moraghul, we're pleased to meet you.
-What the heck is going on, I asked. Why did you make me come here?

-Calm down, my friend. We made you come here to offer you a great opportunity. Something that could definitely change your life.

Another of the members continued:

-Actually, we wanted offer you a place in our family, Moraghul, to have you in our ranks in order to increase our power.

I found this strange yet surprising, but couldn't be more suspicious about this at all.

-Who are you? I asked.
-I am pretty sure you know who we are, everyone ever heard of us once in their lives

It then became almost obvious. They were real.

-You're the Akatsuki family, I said.
-Yes we are, he answered, softly.
-We have a gift for you, Moraghul, said another one of the members

He stood up and brought me a real nice wood box. The wood was encrusted of precious gems, making the exact same form that was carved in the rock table. I guessed it was the Akatsuki Family symbol.

-Open it, he said.

So I did. Inside was a wonderful Blood. My name, right next to the family symbol, was engraved on the blade in gold letters. The blade was sharp and shiny, making of this blood a perfect lethal weapon.

-Now, this Blood is your tool. It is bonded to your spirit, to your body and to your destiny. It will, for sure, help you in numerous situations.

He then stared at me for about thirty seconds then said, with a really clear and soft voice

-Moraghul, will you join our ranks, do you accept our gift ?

I was still shocked and gasped. I stared at them, then at blood, and took a deep breath.

-Yes, I Do.

Moraghul,
Tales of Akatsuki family.
