My journey, unfortunately, did not start out a happy one.  Indeed, I was quite young when I learned that the world can be cruel.  I was born in Hamgyong Nam-do.  I can remember that not many people lived near us in this land overrun with ogres.  My parents however, loved the rocky terrain.  We had a small hut situated on the top of a rocky crevace, partially shielded on one side from the elements and from any stray beasts, had they made it to the top of our little rocky hill.  I remember spending many mornings with my parents, sitting around a small bonfire that my mother had conjured.  Cooking our breakfast on the fire, watching the sun throw it's first rays across the landscape.  It was the beginning of another long day, my father and I packing our hunting gear. Little did I know that my life was about to change forever.

Ogres had somehow made their way up the rocky hill, probably had followed the scent of our breakfast (as they had grown accustomed to the smell, with us living there for a few Hyuls, but had never had the fortune of finding the source).  That day, they seized their opportunity and had found our little camp.  My father tried to fight them, but we were caught so off gaurd and there were too many of them...my parents attempted to fight them off, but in vain...for it was obvious which side was losing the battle.  They told me to run, to get away while I could.  And I ran, never daring to look back as I knew what I would find...

I made my way to Tangun Village, where my Aunt and Uncle lived.  They were gracious people who lived to help the young ones that ventured in Tangun, and they were more than happy to take me into their home.  I spent many of my first months in Tangun consumed by anger.  My thoughts were filled with the memories of my parents, of the ogres, of anguish I could not escape.  I hardly ate.  I hardly slept.  I felt nothing, not the cool breeze that caressed my face, nor the soft grass beneath my feet.  I saw nothing except for my blade.  I trained every day and fought to train all night, until my body screamed for sleep.

This continued for months, until one day I came across a young lady named Haleema.  She was throwing stones into the stream, a blank expression on her face.  At first, she hardly noticed that I had walked up to stand beside her, studying her face as she gazed out at the stream.  She startled when she finally noticed me.  Her eyes lit up, a smile breaking across her face.  I could not help but smile, for the first time in many months.  We were engaged soon after we met, and married later on.

When I was of age, I left Tangun with Haleema.  We travelled to Buya where we took up residency.  There we found Haleema's long lost sister, Sundae and Sundae's curious husband, saint.  We joined Elendhirin clan, where Sundae assured us we would be in a good home.  Indeed, she was right!

Often times, I can be found at the smith - there's nothing like putting in a good days work before the forge! I devote much of my free time travelling the kingdoms with Haleema, always continuing my training as I had done in Tangun.  Although my life journey had started out a sad one, I am convinced that my journey has turned around.  I'm happy to be walking this path now, and even more so since finding a family in the Addams.
