Monk Demeanor PDF Print E-mail

A Monk, though a wanderer, is still honorable:
If you find yourself in trouble with the law, you will be asked to leave.
Only when your jail mark is removed you may return.
Lies and deception will do nothing more than ruin friendships, we
strive to find the truth in all things, and not spread rumors.
If you have something against someone, don't go behind their back,
ask a guide, or a friend to mediate for you.

A Monk respects and lives by our teachings:
If you are caught "buying" or "selling" karma, you will be asked to
leave, depending on the circumstance you may be given ONE
warning.  If you require karma for any reason, ((ask a friend to let you
mentor them, or "trade" karma by mentoring a friend, and letting
them mentor you)), aid your guildmaster, complete your wisdom
tests, worship your totem, or make your self an ally of the Mythic
     beasts.
If you need to go out of character, use (()), or use whispers.
Make an effort not to use "short tongue" speech.
((AOL chat speech such as "AFK," "LOL," "BRB" and the like.))
If you become unfamiliar with The Eightfold Path, the Four Noble
Truths, you should reread them as they are our core values.

A Monk respects our circle, the guides, and the elder.
If you have a problem with a guide, go to the elder, he or she will
try his or her best to solve the problem.
Do not wield charms, swords, bows, or axes inside of our circle,
such weapons show disrespect to our sacred area.

A Monk only fights with a purpose:
Training in battle against creatures, with friends, in organized events
      (Carnage, Bloodlust, Masai, etc).
To defend one's country, family, and friends from invaders.

A Monk obeys the combat and dueling rules:
In areas where the kingdom guards don't protect you (The Vale) and
other such areas like the Sire Pit you must only fight in arranged
      battles.
An arranged battle consists of a duel (one on one) or a group match
that agree to test their skills on one another.
If you are not participating in an arranged match, you are to only
defend yourself. If a friend of yours calls your aid to help him or her
"beat someone up," tell them to leave the area if they don't want to
      be killed.
