The Vastrit Family

The Vastrit has a rich history with and many branch families that have appeared over the years.  These branch families range from people such as honorary members and their descendants, to cousins and other distant relatives still owing their lineage to this line.  The Vastrit family is a prominent family that originally hails from the western Han region on the world.

Traditionally the head family has the final say in all matters and all branch family's must gain permission from the head family to conduct business under their name.  A commission is usually given for all trade, as the family name is used.  This system has worked for generations and has made the Vastrit family an extremely wealthy, powerful and influential family in more than a few regions of the Han Empire.

More recently, a few of the lesser favoured groups of the Vastrit family have been working their way towards the region of Koguryo in hopes of new trade and partnership opportunities for the family.

It is primarily concerned with large trade in the food and herbs area.  However in the recent centuries they have been entering the controversial trade of magical goods.  This recent move towards potential dangerous trade and recently noted greed of the head family has began to create small schisms within the greater family tree, sometimes causes physical conflict, and other times a separation from the family name.

There are still some of the branch families that believe that they can influence the head branch through their own moral actions.  However, due to the great influence of the Vastrit family in Han, those that seek to influence their kin through deeds have had to move to Koguryo and other outlying areas in order to have free reign over their choices.  It is for this reason that one branch family has began to find its way into the city of Kugnae.

The motto of this specific family breath is "Life in every breath" which emphasises a Bushido point of view that all humans are both living and dying at all moments in their life.  This is meant to serve as a reminder of how precious life is, and how one must not sacrifice any life, their own or others, as a means to gain for them.  Rather a person should find solace, compassion and humility through their own mortality.

Today, the Vastrit family strives to help the community as a whole and to provide a strong moral foundation from which others can look upon for their own inspiration.
