~<[ Biography of Ralphey "Kizoku" Trinity ]>~

There was once a minuscule village located in the cold North, far away from the kingdoms, called Helheim. Devoured by everlasting darkness, this village was inhabited by unholy creatures and heroes who were forsaken by the gods after falling in battle. Those heroes were once known as the Einherjar. They all lived here, in order to seclude themselves from the mortal, building an enourmous tower to remind themselves of what they served. Planning to return to the world of the living one day, to take revenge on the gods in Valhalla that betrayed them...

The whole village was barren and devoid of any lively colors. Buildings were all made from the same dull, grey-colored stone bricks. The soil was decayed and plantlife nonexistent. The
lake surrounding the village had a ghastly, purple color and strange creatures unbeknownst to mankind swam endlessly in the deepest depths. Black clouds prevented the sun from ever
shining down on the godforsaken village as rain seemed to be dominating the skies there for all eternity. In the crumbling ruins of a large shrine, Ralphey was born. His mother was
forced to raise him on her own, as his father was still an Einherjar among the living, doing great deeds as one would expect from a valiant servant of the gods themselves.

Those who were born in the netherworld that is Helheim were all raised to become mindless warriors of the forsaken, their only purpose in life being to join the fallen Einherjar on their quest to exact revenge upon their former gods and seize
Valhalla one day. Ralphey was one of these children. However,
as the years went by and he grew up, it was eventually revealed to the unliving ex-heroes that he was not like the others.

At the young age of ten, he had proved to be deeply religious,
possessing a great devotion to the gods after hearing
countless tales of his parents' chivalrious deeds from his mother. Despite having been forsaken by the gods after failing in her quest for glory, she still had faith as she had a son
who she wanted to follow his father's footsteps. He had a
great commitment to the ideals of law, order and honor.
Some other notable traits of the young boy was his remarkably
pale skin, along with his ability to conjure and manipulate
ice, both of which he had inherited from his mother.

A boy with this much potential would have been a valuable
addition to the cult of forsaken heroes, though it was obvious
to the Einherjar that he would refuse to take part in their
vile plans. Not taking any chances, they planned to
assassinate the boy in order to avert a future rebellion
amongst the inhabitants of Helheim. His mother, crushed upon
hearing the news, refused to let any of her kin take her only
son away from her.
His eleventh spring came, and they both departed from the
village that had been consumed by darkness since the dawn of
mankind, his mother not telling him why or that the Einherjar
would come to murder him in his sleep the following night.
It was a snowy spring and their tracks were easily covered,
aiding them in disappearing from Helheim without a single
trace and entering the mortal realm. For days they traversed
through the frozen wilderness, spending no longer than one
night in each of the several taverns that were scattered
throughout the land. Within the span of two weeks, they had
traveled far to the south of the gate to Helheim.

Three more days passed, and they eventually came across
a port. An enourmous, beautiful ship was floating on the
waves, decorated with glowing crystals that shimmered in the
night. It wasn't long before it would set sail, as people were
seen boarding it slowly. They all looked as worn out and tired
as Ralphey and his mother did, possibly looking for a better
place as well, away from the cold-blooded slaughter in the
name of false gods and injustice.

As Ralphey walked aboard and waited for the ship to leave the
port, he noticed that his mother hadn't gotten on the ship
with him. A realization struck him; she was sending him away.
Rather than having her son die by the hands of godforsaken
warriors, she made the tough decision of sending him off to a
better place to start a new life, at the expense of her never
being able to see him again. The ship started to set sail and
Ralphey stood by the railing, watching as the port became
increasingly distant. His mother stood by the edge of the dock
and told him to please understand that doing this was for his
own good. Unlike Ralphey, who was practically born in a realm
of the afterlife, she was unable to break off her bonds with
the Einherjar because of her heroic deeds among the mortals.
She was forever bound by her past life and the darkness of
Helheim, and had to return to the village to avoid being
erased from the very existence due to her strong link with
the netherworld. After saying her sad, final goodbye, she
traveled back to Helheim, claiming to have killed Ralphey
herself in order to cover up for his sudden disappearance.
With a bewildered look on his face, Ralphey went to sit down
in the cabin to join the rest of the passengers as the ship
drifted off into the night.

Several months passed, and the boy had sailed far to the East,
stopping by a multitude of port towns throughout the journey.
He had heard countless stories about distant worlds and great
kingdoms of glory and fortune from gypsies and travelers.
He was far from used to seeing the sun dominate the skies, as
he had spent eleven years of his young life in caliginosity
and seclusion. He had no clue as to where the ship was headed,
nor did he know when it would reach its destination. But he
was somehow happy. Happy because he had finally learned more
about the vast world outside the hellish realm where he was
born.

One night in his eleventh winter, he went out on the deck of
the ship, admiring the beautiful night sky. Bright stars were
scattered all over, and the pale moon shone down on the boy's
face. The ship's boatswain had told him earlier that night
that the ship would reach its destination by the time the sun
would rise. Ralphey was anxious as to what would await him
there and whether the stories he had heard were true.
Suddenly, he felt the ship shake violently and struggled to
keep his balance as barrels and crates tumbled down the deck.
The ship's crew barged out of their cabin and ran towards the
railing, trying to figure out what was making the ship cringe
so hard. The ship then lurched and an enormous sea monster
rose up from the freezing sea, letting out a deafening roar as
it started tearing the ship down with tremendous force as
several people fell overboard. A maelstrom was brewing and
Ralphey was callously knocked over by the beast's gigantic
tail.
Everything was sucked in and the prideful ship was claimed by
the depths of the sea. Ralphey's vision got more and more
obscure, until everything was dark and all he could hear was
the eerie sound of bubbles flowing gently upwards, and the
raging sea monster returning to the abyss.

At dawn, Ralphey opened his eyes, finding himself lying on a beautiful shore with sparkling shells scattered along. The sound of calm waves flowing against the shore was somehow soothing. Miraculously enough, he had survived the events of the night before. It was like the gods had watched over him. The dazed boy sat up in the sand, brushing himself off as he tried to remember how he ended up there. His memories had faded away completely after what had happened. As he trudged through a large gate, he came upon the realization that he had arrived in a kingdom he soon would learn was called Koguryo. One could say that Ralphey had been re-born at the end of the sixth year of MuHyul's reign.

Six years have passed. Ralphey is now seventeen years old,
aging differently from the inhabitants of the kingdoms because
of his otherwordly origins in Helheim. His charismatic
personality and strong devotion to the concepts of justice
and order remain, despite his seemingly permanent memory loss
of his first eleven years of living. Now a strongly dedicated
Chongun warrior, Ralphey does his best to maintain balance
within the kingdoms, and has managed to gain a reputation
doing so as he was one of the leading members of the
Chongunate's resistance who managed to bring King MuHyul back
to life during the Alternate Kugnae incident. At the age of
fourteen, he was adopted by RebelMagic Trinity as her oldest
son, willing to look out for his new family at all costs.
Though the young man is known to be compassionate and
chivalrous, he has yet to learn how to see the shades of
grey between the colors black and white of the moral world.

And although the memories of Ralphey's past life are long
gone, his ties to the vengeful, forsaken warriors who
were once known as the Einherjar, along with the
winter-based powers that have been slumbering
within him since he was born, remain...
