I am AerynSun, firstborn and only daughter of Vernon and Maya Paektu. I was raised by two very loving and dedicated parents. I know I may be the exception to the rule, but I really am glad that they are mine. When I was just a baby, my family adopted a little boy named Vansith. Vansith and I have always been close, and I am thankful that he is my brother. I have so many wonderful memories of growing up as a child in my family's warm and loving home. I remember gathering around the fireplace after dinner and sitting next to my brother, Vansith. We always waited for Father to sit in his favorite rocking chair, light his pipe and tell us stories of his homeland and the Mountain of Paektu. I remember spending time with my Mother in the kitchen. She would always share her stories of her travels as a Monk. I know it was these times that developed the yearning in my heart to follow in her footsteps. I love spending time with my family and my extended family at SunMoon. I have so many friends that have always been there for me. I realize how much a person can accomplish with the help of others. I want to keep that close to my heart and let that help guide me in the future. Personally, I am a quiet soul. I mind my own business, work hard, and try to save some for a raining day. I appreciate the little things in life. I love the outdoors, gardening, and the rain. I enjoy listening to stories, and cooking. My Mom and Dad sent me away to train in Hausson so I could learn everything I could about the healing arts, cooking and general education. I enjoyed travelling and learning about the ways and values of others. After completing my studies, I followed in my Mother's footsteps and became a Monk.
Life moves ahead and I met a wonderful man named Hokuzen. We married after a long engagement, and settled in West Masan. We became the proud parents of Anaximander. Anaximander has my firey hair and his father's drive and energy. He makes us proud to be our son. He is following my footsteps to becoming a Monk under the guidance of Janken.
