  Momoko Family

If you were to utter the name Momoko in the land of Ilbon, not all would return with kind words. This family comes from a long line of mostly women. The men have done little, if anything, to keep this name out of the mud. The women have tainted it so. We begin where things must start, with a woman named Arachne. A terror as a child, she adopted even worse traits as a woman. She boasted to her entire village that she was the best weaver in all of the lands. The fact was that she had an amazing skill of artistry. But her ego would get in the way of these skills.

She bore three children, all girls themselves. There were rumors in the village that these children all had different fathers. Arachne would go to the grave with her knowledge of this, for she never shared the truth with anyone. Her only goal was to prove to the entire lands how great of a weaver she was. She challenged the Gods themselves, who decided to hold a tournament to once and for all prove who was the best. To everyone's surprise, Arachne won the tournament. As she basked in her glory, one of the contestants grew green with such envy, that she murdered Arachne.

A kind God who enjoyed Arachne's artistry took pity on her, and granted her a new life. But this life was not an ideal one. This life was filled with many horrors. The God knew that if he restored Arachne to her womanly state, she would be killed again for her ego. So instead, he taught her a lesson. He turned her into a giant spider. She was quite radiant still in this form, and could continue to weave without the jealousy of others. But she would forever be alone, forced to deal with the results of her ego every day of her life.

The three children she bore were shunned from the village. Because they were so young, some of the villagers thought it wrong to do so. However, the Gods promised that their lives would continue on, and that they would be safe. But because of their mother's foolish ways, they must survive on their own. So the three were seperated for most of their lives, each living in a different way. However, the bond of these sisters was far too great. They each found their way to the wilderness, and eventually, each other.

These are the Momoko family's values:

           - Pride
           - Survival
           - Fighting against all odds
           - Truth
           - Respect

Momoko means "One hundred, Peach tree, and flower." The eldest daughter, Echo Dahlia means "reverberating sound" and "flower." The second daughter, Sake, means "a purpose." The youngest daughter, Mwerp, means "A loud noise, energetic." This is our family.
