Snow falls every winter and melts in the spring, this is the cycle of life. Every once in a while snow likes to linger about. Deep in the Dark Forest of Nagnang snow started to fall lightly onto the ground. Yet the only sound that was heard that day was the trampling footsteps of soldiers looking for intruders. The Rauko Beast they call Gberts and his younger sister Beautysnow heard rumors of a hidden fortress hidden with in the Dark Forest. Beautysnow walks through the forest with her brother while guiding them with only round lit lamps made of ginko wood and paper. As they walk through they sneak around avoiding guards that have every intention of killing any un-welcomed guest. Gberts put his ear to the ground to listen for any sound of soldiers that might come their way. As he listens closely his sister hold's on to him tight, small bit of fear that runs through her spine and calms down as her brother get's up and pull her close to him. "Oy'? Mei don't worry about anything.. *hand compass* use this if you get lost ". Snow starts to smile as she gets reassured of her safety. "Brother I just don't want to be lost again". Gberts smirks at her but suddenly stops to notice a light in the far distance. At the same instance Snow looked at the same glimmering light. "Let's go brother..." They tread lightly towards the light, though the light never grows brighter or dim's in any way. They finally make their way towards the light, yet before they get any closer, Gberts waves to Snow to stay back just incase it was a trap. The light encircled a small portion of the dark forest just touching a small little pond and a decently sized rock half Gberts size. He hears little mumbles as he grows closer to the light, he could barely make it out, but it sounded like baby. He walks behind the tree and looks towards the water to see a small baby with silver pony tailed hair dressed in cloth crawling around giggling at a flower. Gberts walks closer and sit's on the rock as he set his Axe down into the ground and stares endless at the little one wondering how on earth she managed to appear in the Dark Forest. While he sit's there contemplating about it the baby crawls towards Gberts Axe and reaches and touches while cutting her hand. She start's to giggle and suck her thumb. Gberts looks at her as she gives a big smile towards him. "Oy' ehh little one... How in the heavens did you get here??" As he picks her up with both hands, Snow appears behind Gberts and put her head next to her brothers. "Brother? we surely can't leave her here all alone ^^" As she says that she the baby Bites down hard on Gberts hand. Snow starts to giggle along side with the baby. Gberts reaches over and grabs some berries from the tree near them and feeds them to the little one. "Look brother she eats them like a little piggy! Let us call her Snowberry! She will become our little sister!" As that is said group of soldiers start to surround them slowly creeping up on them. "Mei?" Hold's the baby close. "I know brother.. I know" Just as the soldiers were about to attack the Light surrounding them started to get smaller and smaller. As the soldiers approached closer to them, the light started to only cover the trio. Like they say every winter snow starts to fall then melts away in the spring, yet sometimes snow likes to linger around and takes a bite out of you to remind you not to forget it will be back next winter. |
