The youngest daughter of Yui-Ti and Mei Kiyomasa. Myrtle's parents served under the council of Usanguk, they were both highly regarded and held a stable position in the running of the Island's food supply, and trade. At a young age, Myrtle was taught much about the land, and the arts of Feng Shui by the Island's Herbalist. This expanded her knowledge for the world around her - And led her astray for what her bloodline was largely recognized for : Warfare. Myrtle's aversion of combat opened new opportunities for her to travel the lands, but also created an uproar amongst her relatives, and Island's council. Through years of battling against her own family, in attempt to make her own mark in Usanguk's history, she failed. Myrtle was now frowned upon by her own parents, and was looked upon as a deserter by the council of her family roots. Though Myrtle had lost the respect she held for many moons, she continued her studies with the herbalist, tapping into the Ancient languages of the Earth, and increasing her wisdom in the world of Geomancy. At the age of eleven, Myrtle travelled around the Island of Usanguk with the Herbalist, progressing her studies in the manipulation of C'hi and the world's many energies. During their nomadic time, Myrtle's mind still remained on the thoughts of leaving her family. The one thing she had been taught to always stay true to and respect, her family moto : Family should always come first. Pondering on her thoughts, she and the Herbalist travelled back to her town on the island and made peace with her family and the Island's Council - Soon after, she assured them all she was going to leave for the main land of Korea, in search of Knowledge and Adventure. Her parents respected her choice, and agreed to support Myrtle in her leave. Presenting her with a single gift - A solid Bamboo walking stick with the family name etched into the side of it.. "Kiyomasa" Myrtle's voyage brought her to the City of Buya. Following her arrival, she found a safe living place within the Elendhirin clan walls. Also continuing her studies, she soon met an elder whom agreed to teach her the Earthern ways, and brought her home to her second family - The Geomancers. Not long after finding a secure home, and family to share her stories with - Myrtle ran into her cousin, Nyurota and went off to dinner in the local inn to share their stories while they were seperated. Nyurota broke the news that she was staying within the kingdom of Koguryo, and that she was not going to leave in dedication of her promise to protect Myrtle during the journey. As they both were taught during the younger years - Family Forever. |
