ribbons; You notice the writing is the same green hue, and it is
written quite eloquently. You unravel the first parchment and
begin to read it's contents. . *

I opened my eyes to see nothing but darkness; No light, and no sound. It must've been near midnight, for a chill down my spin began to grow colder. I thought of my parents, and how this came to be. From stories I have been told, my father was a great Merchant, but from my own experience and research, he was something else; Not a Merchant at all, but a man pretending to be one. It was only natural that his death occurred as it did, considering his line of job. My mother I am certain was a Muse, and spent most of her time with her nose in a book, reading about some new star she recently discovered or even naming her own. My parent's killer is still uncertain, and though most would seek vengeance against the man who took his life, I did not. I only wished to find my brother who had run off to other lands with my parent's death.

But perhaps I have gone ahead of myself. Let me first explain the definition of the family name. Dinera loosely translates to "money;" My father's name was Tenemos Dinera, meaning "We have money," and my brother's name is Tengo Dinera, meaning "I have money;" Because of this, our family is known for their greed. My father was known for his bad gambling problem, and my mother liked to buy expensive items merely for the look of them. However, they knew how to manage it well, and so, they were known to be quite rich. As I've mentioned, my father was a Merchant, and my mother a Muse. The true meaning of our name can be explained by the fact that my father came from a long line of Merchants himself, and thus the name seemed right. Because of that, our values are similar to that of a Merchant, though somewhat different.
They are as follows:

o Trust
o Thirst for knowledge
o Hope
o Respect for the Arts

Before my brother's birth, my father was the last remaining male in our family. However, our family does not hold their males above females, and thus since I am older than Tengo, I am the head of the family. Because of this, I felt it was my duty to bring my family together. Besides my brother, I was aware that I had two cousins, both of whom lived in the land my brother had run off to; Perhaps this was the reason my brother ran to that particular place, although I will never know. None the less, it was off to the land known as Kugnae. My brother seemed harder to track down than I thought, and I soon grew worried that he had gotten lost; He had always been bad with direction. Day and night, I pondered where I could find my cousins, when it hit me one hot summer night: I came from a long line of Artists, and Muses alike. I soon discovered the Muse Guild of Buya, and decided it would be in my best interest to attend as many events as I possibly could in hopes of finding my cousins. Weeks, then months had gone by and I soon lost track of how many events I had been to. I am not one to speak much, so I merely observed each Muse carefully, hoping to find some resemblance; and it was during a Cabaret performance when I did. I had not noticed this particular Muse before, but when she came on stage, she had a striking resemblance to my mother. In fact, my heart nearly skipped a beat at the sight of her, for I thought she -was- my mother. I waited until the end of the Cabaret to speak to her, and when I did, her story of her own family was far too close to the ones my mother told me to be a coincidence. She spoke of how her mother was very kind, and seemed to always be singing, but that she did not know her father at all. However, it was a mention of the song her mother used to sing that made me completely sure she was my cousin.

After I informed her of who I was, I soon met my other cousin, and asked them for help in finding my brother. We had searched near and far for him, yet it seemed we would never find him. It was not until recently when I finally found him; He was wondering about the Markets searching for some item, when I came across him. He had informed me that he did not get lost, but instead, found himself staying within a small village; He said he enjoyed it too much to leave suddenly, thus he stayed awhile. I merely shook my head at my brother's lack of wondering if others are looking for him, and informed him I had found our cousins. A mere few days later, my cousin had informed me she had a child and introduced us. When I asked who the father was, she would not say, so I did not bother to ask.

My cousins always seemed to be quite flamboyant, and I sometimes felt out of place with their wild antics, but they knew that they could turn to me for any type of advice, and I would gladly answer it. My brother, well, he is my kid brother and I treat him as such; sometimes he gets annoyed at this, but I know deep down he realizes I have his best interest at heart. I love my family quite dearly, and I will do anything in my power to protect them and remain by their side always.

I have attached a small parchment which contains the Dinera family tree. .
