  Rayvin
My name is Rayvin Branwen Soilgheas Darkstorm, wife of Diadem Darkstorm and mother of Stannis Darkstorm.  It is but a small family, but nonetheless a great family.
My story begins from a land not too far from here, a land where I grew up with my father, my mother, and my older brother.  A close family we were, especially my brother and I.  But alas, tragedy struck when my father became ill and passed to the spirit world in his sleep on a night with dark clouds and lightning that lit up the sky.  After my fathers death my familys money began to run out, and my mother lived in fear of the towns councilmen who came to collect payments.  She sent my brother and I away on the best ship the last of our money could buy to land she called Koguyro, she said that we can make a life for ourselves there, where no one would know who we were.
My brother was all I had left in the world, it seemed.  I was but a young child and he was my protector, I loved him so.  The journey on the sea was not pleasant at all, one that will haunt my memories and my dreams forever.  Our ship was attacked by a group of pirates who took the very last of our gold and left most of the crew dead and those who were not dead from the edge of a sword slowly died from diseases that were spreading quickly on the ship.  One storming night, not far from our destination, my brother died in my arms from the fever he had caught.  I screamed and cried until my voice was lost and my eyes were swollen, grieving for my brother and being angry at myself for not being able to help him.
When the ship finally arrived at this strange new land of Koguyro I began my new life.  I walked the streets of Kugnae, scared and shaking, not sure of what to do when I came to Walksuks Inn.  What a kind lady she was to help a child who had no money and no place to go.  She fed me and allowed me to stay in her inn for no charge while I explored and learned about this strange new land.  She spoke of Ironheart who helps young ones like myself.  I immediately went to him and completed the tasks he gave me and when I was of age, he spoke of the four different paths I could chose to follow.  I chose to follow the path of the poet, to devote my life to help and to heal others as I could not help my brother.
A few moons had passed and I was a devoted student to the Poet Guild master Jinsin.  He had given me a book to read and I ventured off to a quiet grove to sit under a nice big oak tree with a little picnic and study.  Not too far into my book I heard a strange sound coming from across the grove.  It sounded like a wounded animal!  Before I could stand up to see what the noise was a handsome young boy about my age carrying a stick ran past me chasing a small rabbit!  I began to giggle, and he did not seem to notice that I was there, for he turned and saw me and tripped right over a root, his dinner running off.  I ran over to help him and mend his scratched knee he leaned up and kissed me on my cheek!
Diadem and I have been inseperatable ever since, and were married as soon as we were of age.  We have done so much together and have been through so much together in our lives.  We have survived the Cataclysm, the Reckoning, and the Shattering, our love still as strong as the day we met!  We have learned so much from each other over the years and we have grown strong together.  Diadem and I have also one son, Stannis, who I am so very proud of.  He takes after his father, as he looks so much like him and he has also chosen the path of the warrior, continuing to grow strong.
A dark storm has guided each one of us together as a family.  It was but a storm that brought both myself and Diadem to the shores of Kugnae and a storm that raged on as my son was born.  It seems that throughout my life during every significant event there has been the presence of a storm in the night.  The dark storm has brought us all together and I believe will guide us throughout our lives forevermore.
